happy birthday!

Carrie's birthday is today. And last week we stopped her from going to work. We told her to pack an overnight bag and her passport. Then we told her, "We're going to see Imagine Dragons in Minneapolis, tonight." and we piled into a car and drove 7 hours. These are some of the pictures from that trip. It felt so good to get away from Winnipeg, to feel like I was moving forward. And I'm realizing how fantastic the people in my life truly are.

these are from before Christmas. I lost my roll of film and just found it recently. It's weird to see pictures when I was suffering from so much darkness. The light is coming back into my life now, but it was pretty absent when these were taken. 

lately

these are randoms from the last couple months. this season has been one of the most difficult. a darkness and emptiness has been sitting in my mind. I've been spending a lot of time alone, and at home. things are beginning to get better, but it's a process. and it's not easy.
