Canada Day was good. Taking these photos was good practice. Having this vacation has been very necessary and very life giving.

trash the neighbourhood

today we hosted our annual Trash The Neighbourhood event. Every year we get together with trucks and garbage bags and we go into the community to take away trash. We do this to clean up the neighbourhood and to show those in the community that we care about them. It rained today and we still had lots of volunteers come and stick it out through crappy weather. I just cannot help but be inspired by these people and how God can redeem anything for His glory.

I got the chance to shoot this day and edit in the same day, which has taught me so much.

After coming back from Swaziland I've decided I want to shoot more in digital. Film will always be my first love, but I have been enjoying the challenges and the learning that comes with shooting digital. I took some time to photograph my aparment, my safe place.
